Join the Abbey bell ringers in a trip up the Abbey bell tower and get an inside view into their love of bells and the art of ringing,
Hexham Abbey Treasures
A wonderful display of some of some of the Abbey’s treasures, catalogued by our Conservation Group. They will be on hand to talk to visitors about some of the findings and share their enthusiasm and knowledge of the Abbey’s colourful 1300 year history. Vestments, manuscripts, architectural drawings and antique books are just some of the items that will be on display for visitors to browse.

Collective Bell Ring
The Hexham Abbey Guild of Bell Ringers will be coming together to take part in the collective bell ringing moment on Thursday 8th September between 1800 – 1900 hours - an event specifically organised as part of Heritage Open Days.
