We have many very active groups here at the Abbey, and you are more than welcome to attend any one or more of them and find out which suits you best. For further details of our groups, please see below.
Abbey Choirs
Junior Church- Sunday Groups for Children and Young People
Sunday Tots is for children from crèche age to Reception to meet up during the 10.00 Sunday service, for stories, prayers, songs and fun.
Sunday Gang is a chance for children from Reception to school year 4 to come together, during the 10.00 service, to have fun hearing stories, singing songs, playing games and taking part in craft activities on a range of Christian themes. Follow the opening procession to join us! An adult is welcome to come with you if you prefer.
Sunday Club is for children in school years 5 to 8, during the 10.00 service, where we often drink hot chocolate as we explore our faith through a variety of activities and discussion. Come and join us! Just follow on the opening procession.
Midweek groups for Children and Young People
Tots’ Praise – A happy little gathering of 0-5s and their carers who meet on Wednesdays at 10.15 in the Abbey for stories, songs, prayers, chat, refreshments and fun. Brothers and sisters are welcome during the school holidays. Come and join us!

Take This - Kids in school years 4 to 8 meet once a month to produce a magazine called TAKE THIS, looking at themes such as fair trading, discipleship or what goes on in a church service. Written by kids, for kids, 11 issues of TAKE THIS are published each year, with copies going to groups all over the country. For more information please contact www.takethis.org.uk
Friday Zone is where young people in school years 5-8 meet for fun ‘down time’, in a supportive Christian environment. Our activities range from silly games, creative crafts and lively discussion to our popular summer camp and legendary annual sleepover in the Abbey! We meet on various Fridays in term time.
